Works well but be aware that these do not extend to the 5 feet stated in the product's description. I've purchased two of these from Amazon, each only extend to 50 inches.
Works on my Sharp floor standing AC unit just fine

Like one of the previous reviewers I too used this venting hose to replace the one for my Sharp floor standing AC unit. Considering this costs around $40 shipped as opposed to the Sharp replacement that goes for around $100 it is by far the best alternative for the money. I will agree that it doesn't fit perfectly, but it gets the job done without any kind of modification. If you are really concerned about a perfect seal than you can always tape down the ends, but I don't think its necessary. I think what Sharp charges is absolute robbery. Their venting tube costs a little over a third of what I paid for the entire unit, and given the design, it will be the first part of the unit to begin failing. Mine started drying out and splitting after about a year or so of use. At last my computer room is nice and cool again!
Works for intended purpose

I bought this to use as an extender for an lg portable air conditioner. I used transparent duct tape and it works fine. The only caveat is that the two ducts are oriented in opposite directions. I wanted to twist them into each other for a tighter fit. Couldn't do it but it works.
