The ARC-914D is a small, beautiful rice cooker/steamer which performs as advertised. Instructions on usage were simple and straight forward with clear diagrams. Tests on both small (1 cup) and large (8 cup) quantities produced a fluffy, flavorful rice. An excellent addition to any kitchen.

I use this cooker for cook brown rice. I use a little more water than for white rice. The cooked rice comes out with no crust nice even cooked.

This is my third electric rice cooker. I prefer this one because of it's programmable settings and it's size. It's perfect for one or two people. It has settings for both white and brown rice as well as steaming. It cooks brown rice perfectly and has a timer for the steam setting. Unlike other cookers this one can be left plugged in and it has a timer for beginning the cooking cycle. That's very helpful.
