I bought this for a compatible Whirpool washing machine. Installation was incredibly easy and consists of only 3 screws (two in the body and a ground screw) after removing the case (also not hard). The cables comes in a "sheath to keep them from getting in the way. Only issue is, when you remove the current switch, make sure you save the 3 factory screws you remove. This does not come with any screws with which to replace them. They all look pretty standard and a trip to Home Depot could probably make up for any lost ones...but save yourself some trouble and keep track of them, especially if you remove the old piece prior to ordering this one.
If your washer is refusing to rinse and spin and drain, it's a very good chance this part is the issue and it obviously take a beating over the years with constantly getting flipped (how many times has your lid slammed down hard on accident). Don't hire a repair man....there are even vids on youtube if you can't figure it out, but it really is very easy to DIY. Whole thing took me about 45 minutes and cost $12. Repair man would have been easily $100+

Excellent replace for my broken switch, easy replacement washer now works perfectly. Would highly recommend if your washer is not going through to the spin cycle.
