I actually owned the Hario VDC-02W Dripper V60 Size 02 White Ceramic Funnel before and used it until it broke. Dealing with my clumsy hands, I decided to get the plastic version instead.

Pros:
-- The plastic is sturdy and I don't have to worry about handling it carefully, there's peace of mind when I take it when I travel as well. It is very light as well compared to the ceramic model.
-- It performs the same as the ceramic version, almost identical design. Some people have said before that the ceramic retains the heat better than the plastic, well, there is no major heat loss at all, and if there were, it would still be beyond the drinkable temperature.
-- Easy to clean and stays shiny, I had mine for 2 years now and it still looks the same.

Cons:
-- Plastic vs. ceramic in overall quality of a piece, I would say ceramic wins in elegance. but performance is the same and plastic is durable.

We didn't realize this was a plastic version, and we thought it was a bit expensive for a plastic one. But it works really well and the coffee is better than the ceramic version we were replacing.

I had read reviews on some of these things and thought to myself could it really be that good? Let me tell you it is. It's really easy to make an incredibly strong cup of coffee so be careful and follow the guide with portions but wow is the coffee good. Even crappy grocery store generic ground coffee tasted way better in this thing.
