I purchased the Ziplock VacuumStarter Kit which came with several heavy duty zipper seal bags that have a flat valve to which you press the included plastic pump which removes excess air. They worked great so I then ordered the Ziplock Vacuum Sealer Bag Refills in the quart and gallon sizes. Surprise - there is no zipper closure or valve on these. So I have tried using clear packing tape to seal them and then making a pinhole in the bag which I seal with the tape after I have vacuumed out the excess air with my Ziplock pump. It doesn't work very well this way because the liquid oozes out the taped end. I have not figured out what kind of bags to buy for the pump I have already purchased.

FYI ---If anyone doesn't read this (like me)these ARE NOT the vacuum bags (like baggies)---They are open on both sides

Expected to use these bags with the Ziplock vacuum storage bag system. These bags do not have the Ziplock top bag seal. They must be used with a heat seal machine, not just the hand vacuum pump, either manual or battery.
