I've had this disposer for about 8 months now, and it just does its job quietly and completely every time. Installation was fairly straightforward. I had a little issue caused by my own brain flatulence during installation, so had occasion to call their customer service. Hold time was minimal and the lady who answered must have personally installed a few of these, as her answer was quick and accurate and at the same time, she was able to avoid calling me the dummy that I was. Not even a little snicker.
I've not had this disposer to threaten to clog even once, and fairly heavy loads of food do not make it sound overloaded at all. I put half a large casserole dish of lasagna through it with no complaining. The peels from 10 large russets, all at one time. 4 or 5 half-eaten hamburgers... I stuffed them all in the disposer before flipping the switch, and it eagerly ate them up. It doesn't even come with the usual hex tool to clear a stuck chomper, because of its unique self-clearing design.
My last disposer was a 1/3 hp model of another brand, so for this purchase I seriously considered getting a 3/4 hp, because I didn't want to see the sink shudder every time I used the disposer for more than a piece of bacon. I got the 1/2 hp model, though, because of its good reviews and the fact that I'm a cheapskate. I haven't regretted it even once.

Just received this last night and installed it. I have next to no plumbing experience, and I found the installation to be fairly simplistic. The instructions were clear and consise and even gave generic instructions to remove your current disposal which worked fine for the one I was replacing.
The only problem I encountered which is by no means fault of the product is that it's psysically smaller than what it was replacing and the piping was shorter than what was on my previous disposal resulting in the connection being too far below and to the left. I was able to fix this by getting a piece of pipe that had some flex on it (reminded me of bendy straws) from the local hardware store to make up the difference and it works fine.
Some of the reviews gave me the impression that this can handle anything you throw at it. My experience with it was different. I crammed the thing full of fairly easy to munch greens and it struggled with it a bit at first but was able to handle it just fine. About what I'd expect for 1/2HP. And it's dead quiet compared to other disposals I've used so that's nice.
Also credit to Amazon. I'm a total cheapskate. So even tho I needed this to replace a leaking disposal I choose super saver shipping prepared to deal with the leak for a couple of weeks to save a few more bucks but it arrived in a shocking 2 business days.
Conclusion: If you want a disposal that can destroy anything you throw at it. Get something more powerful. If you have reasonable expectations of what a disposal should be able to do, pick this up!
Don't get the cord if you don't need it.

My previous Badger disposer corroded through, causing a lot of water under the sink. I bought this unit from Amazon because of the reviews and the price. I'm a do-it-yourselfer but not an electrician.
I unpacked the unit when it arrived although I wasn't going to install it at that moment. I put the mounting/sound-suppression collar in place, then put the unit loosely back in the box. I had two bad moments when I installed the unit. The first was the difficult removing the mounting/sound-suppression collar from the unit. This is a very close fit and the instructions warn you to lubricate the collar before placing it on the unit. I was initially afraid to exert the force that was needed to get the collar off. This wouldn't have been an issue if I had not put the collar on when I unpacked the box. Properly lubricated, the collar is secure but able to be removed with reasonable pressure. The second issue I had was with the power cord. The stress relief was a cast-in-place elastic material that needed to be cut away from the metal structure to insert the hard wired connection from my house. An earlier review had complained about the expense of buying a cord when ha bought a unit without one. I discovered that removing one turned out to be more complicated than unscrewing the leads. My suggestion is to buy what you need. If you have an electrical outlet below your sink, get one with a cord. If you are replacing an existing unit that is hard-wired to the house, skip the cord and use the one from your last disposal.
This unit is quiet, well finished, and runs very well. I'm very happy with the purchase.
