I'm very happy with my sealer. It heats up very quickly and creates an airtight seal instantly.
My only complaint is its size and weight. I use mine in the house, not for commercial applications, and being 18" long and 5" wide, it takes up a lot of space. I have to stow it away after every use. It would be nice if it were sleeker and lighter and smaller. Oh, and a built-in latch would be good, too.

Shipping for the bag sealer was very quick. The price was very reasonable.
I opened up the outer carton and there was a very generic looking inner carton. Little to no descriptive info printed on either carton. Included was an extra heating element and fiberglass fabric strip.
Inside the inner carton was a very brief instruction booklet. Parts of the grammar appeared to be written by someone who probably does not use American English conversationally. In spite of that, it was easy to understand.
The one thing that concerns me is that there is NO manufacturer information to be found either on the cartons or on the impulse sealer. There was no "Made in XXXXX" marking ANYWHERE. There was also no UL approval anywhere. The instruction booklet recommends leaving the unit plugged in all the time since it's only on when you press down the arm, however lacking any UL approvals, I wouldn't suggest following that advice. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THIS ITEM IS MADE! And if it's made in another country, it is a violation of US Customs importation laws by not having the country of origin clearly and conspicuously marked.
The sealer works for the poly tubing I have but it doesn't seem to hold the temperature setting for more than 3 to 6 bags. Frequently it starts to get too hot and I have to turn down the temp. dial to a lower setting.
I'm giving plenty of time in between bags for the heating strip to cool off so I think the temp. setting device just isn't very accurate. But it does work with periodic fiddling. I don't know if anyone in a production environment would put up with it though.
I use it for making my own bubble tube packing when I package the centerpieces I make.
Some of my designs can get fairly fragile [...]
and the tubes filled with air make a great light weight and inexpensive cushioning for them.
The fabric/fiberglass cover over the heating strip started to discolor within 10 uses.
This didn't affect the function from what I could tell.
Hopefully it will last me several years but time will tell!
