Moves air...

... and lots of it. It's not quite up to the level of those industrial blowers, but it does move a lot of air. Anyway, I'll answer some questions I had about this specific fan that I couldn't find answers to prior to purchase, as well as give some of my own input.
* There is NO BEEP when you push buttons, or when it turns off via the timer setting. That means unlike other similar fans, this one can be reasonably used while you go to sleep without waking you up with an obnoxious loud beep waking you up 4 hours later.
* It is not the quietest fan, even on low setting. It's not as loud as an industrial blower, but there's no question when it's on. Low setting is manageable though, and still moves decent air. For comparison, I would say low is about as loud and moves about as much air as some of the cheaper 3-blade basic box fans do on high. High with this fan blows them away.
* Timer is a push-button cycle, with timer off and 2-, 4-, and 8-hour options. Description tells you the hour settings, but doesn't clarify that the fan can operate indefinitely if timer is left off.
* Fan tilt is manual only, not motorized (some other sites had descriptions that seemed to imply motorized/automatic pivot).
Bottom line is this fan is definitely a bit louder than your typical box fan, even on low, but if you need something to quickly pull air through even a large room (or an entire small to medium apartment), this will do the job well. It moves a lot of air. I'm happy with my purchase. One star off because it *is* loud, but that is my only complaint.
Nice option for wall-mountable, remote control fan
Rating by : GwF,
I bought this fan for the workout room in my house. The ability to wall mount and the remote control operation for a relatively inexpensive price were the deciding factors. Once I got it I was a little worried about how well it would mount as it's pretty large and the base is a fairly pliable plastic with two holes for mounting screws (not included). I mounted a 1 x 6 board (after all, it's a workout room with a fan stuck on the wall -- interior design takes a backseat to functionality, although I did paint the board to match the wall color) horizontally across three wall studs, then mounted the fan to the board using just the two existing screw holes. It feels very secure. There is no rattle or shaking at all even with the fan on high speed. A little care (i.e., trial and error) in making sure the mounting screws protrude just enough to tightly and securely hold the base of the fan between the wall and the screw head is recommended. The remote control works well. I am happy with the fan and the installation.
This thing BLOWS!

This thing moves air very well. It is like having a little air conditioner sitting on the floor. Very powerful, no annoying "BEEP" when you change fan speeds. Very light and the timer is a nice touch too. Amazon shipping, top notch as always.
