I have a 8 year old dyson DC14 Low Reach. A couple months ago is started making a horrible noise when vacuuming on the carpet setting. Performance in carpet also dropped big time. I considered buying a new vacuum for (non Dyson) for $140 but decided to search for parts on amazon. I first purchased a new clutch for the vacuum. I spent $30 something. Spent 30 minutes installing it. When I fired up the vacuum, there was no change. My next option was the brush. From the time I got the package from UPS, I had the new brush installed in under 3 minutes. The vacuum no longer makes any unusual noises!! It's extremely simple. It took a little strength to stretch the belt though. The brush itself has longer and much stiffer bristles. It is functioning like a new Dyson again. I spent $55 or so on the brush bar and clutch ( even though I didn't need that) and expect the vacuum to last another 8 years.

This product worked great to replace the broken brush bar on my four year old Dyson vacuum. The company had exceptionally fast shipping. Videos out on Youtube help to take vacuum apart.

Beater was as described and fit perfectly. Didn't need special tool to r&r, but most people may need it as
it has a strong belt that is almost inaccessible.
