I am SO glad I got this. This is an ALL METAL grinder attachment that fits any KitchenAid stand mixer. It is easy to clean, comes with two dies (medium and fine) The internal auger is aluminum - the blade is steel and the dies are steel, the attachement ring is steel and the feeder assembly and tray are steel. The plunger is sturdy plastic.
This will not crack and it does not leave gunk or shavings in your meat. You will not be disappointed. Easy to disassemble and clean - make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions of washing, drying and then putting a light coat of canola or olive oil on the internal parts before storing.

I got my meat grinder last week and have found it to be a high quality tool for the kitchen.
I ground up some 5lbs of beef purchased on sale and found it fast and easy to clean up after.

I used this Kitchen Aid Grinder attachment made by Chefs Choice for the first time today. I am completely happy with the speed of grinding meat, easy to assemble and clean. I like the fact that it has all metal parts except for the pusher that is heavy plastic. Everything works great!
